Miniature Delft Blue Porcelain Plates on Gold Rack

Delftware or Delft pottery, also known as Delft Blue, is a general term now used for Dutch tin-glazed earthenware. Most of it is blue and white pottery, and the city of Delft in the Netherlands was the major centre of production.

Each of three miniature plates are edged in gold feature the Dutch influenced blue designs of a windmill, a traditional milk maid, and a sailing ship. The full scale plates measures ~ 7/8" in diameter and 1/4" tall. The gold-coloured rack holding the plates measures ~ 3" long x 5/8" tall and 7/8" wide.
