Canada Post Strike

Please note that we are aware of the Canada Post Strike and are shipping every Canadian order via couriers such as Canpar and UPS so your packages will still get to you in a timely manner. However, couriers cannot deliver to PO boxes. If you do place an order to a PO box we will reach out to you personally to get an alternative shipping address during the strike

Directions

We are located at 862 Millwood Road in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on the north side of the street. Coming from the 401 head south on the DVP and get off at Eglington. When you see Laird Dr turn left. You will now be travelling south on Laird. Turn Right from Laird onto Millwood Rd and take the next immediate right to continue on Millwood. Our store is then located on the right side of the street one block past the first set of lights. Now you should be looking for parking. There is paid parking in front of the store or there are a couple of free parking spots available down the alleyway behind the shop.

Public Transit Directions

The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) fare is currently $3.25 cash for adults (you can save money by using a presto card), or if you plan to do a lot of stops that day you may want to get a "Day Pass" instead for $12.00 which is good for one adult during the week, or 2 adults and up to 4 children on weekends. There are several options to get to our store by TTC:

Option #1: Take Line 1 to St. Clair station, board the #88A or #88B South Leaside Bus, and get off at the Southerland/Millwood Road Stop. After you get off the bus, cross Millwood at the lights to be on the north side of the street. From there we are just a two minute walk west (turning left at the corner) down Millwood.

Option #2: Take Line 1 to Davisville station, and board the #11 Bayview bus. Get off at Millwood road and walk east along Millwood until you reach our store (a 7-10 minute walk).

This Site

Though this site has been an online store since 2009 we are still very much a store first and a website second. Sometimes our online stock does not perfectly represent our physical stock available. PLEASE email or phone us if you are having navigation problems, if you think something can be improved or changed to make your life easier. One thing I can tell you is that this has been quite a daunting experience, we are DEFINITELY much better doll house builders ( check some of our custom work in the gallery - on the banner of our site - once there click on the gray buttons above the pictures ) then website designers!

Our History

Established in 1975 The Little Dollhouse Company has been creating dollhouses for well over 40 years. Now in the shops third location, still located in Toronto, Canada, we hope to be creating dollhouses for at least 40 more.

In spring of 2001 the current owners, Maria and John, took over a space located at 617 Mount Pleasant Rd. Within three years they found themselves outgrowing that location and moved across the street to #612 instead.

As of 2019 The Little Dollhouse Company has moved again and are now located at 862 Millwood Road. Though still getting used to the space we're sure our dollhouses will love their new home.

We also travel the world and show at many different international shows. The locations of upcoming events can be found in the shows tab of our website. Call and ask us about such artisans as Judith Blondell, Don Henry, Debi Kolenchuk, CIMTA artisans, Karl Blindheim and many others from around the world.
