This is a miniature 1/144th scale model of a R. Bliss Manufacturing Co. dollhouse. As is common for a Bliss House, it is in the Queen Anne style. The house has green slat siding on the upper story and basket brick pattern in green brick on the lower story. The front of the house features a covered porch supported by columns.

This piece is handmade and signed by Canadian artist Fay Leisorek.

Rufus Bliss founded, R. Bliss Manufacturing Co., a Rhode Island-based company in the early 1800s. In the 1890s they began producing their iconic dollhouses, one of the first American companies to manufacture doll houses. Most of their houses were in the Queen Anne style – what enthusiasts call “gingerbread.” Modeled after German dollhouses, these ornately decorated beauties were the gem of young girls’ bedrooms nationwide.
