Assembled "Princess Elizabeth's Playhouse" 1930s Reproduction

Assembled AS IS antique Tri-ang Line's Brothers 1930s historical reproduction dollhouse of Princess Elizabeth's cottage "The Little House at Royal Lodge" or "Y Bwthyn Bach".

In 1932 for Princess Elizabeth's sixth birthday, this charming cottage was presented to her as a gift from the Duke and Duchess of York in the name of the people of Wales. It was scaled down to the size of a child's proportions to serve as a playhouse. The tiny cottage still stands to this day in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The cottage was reproduced into dollhouse form by the English toy firm "Line Bros Tri-ang". The front opening version of this dollhouse was manufactured starting in 1937 and named "No. 2 Princess Doll's House".

This unique house features 4 rooms, stairs, 4 fireplaces, 6 doors, a thatched roof, and opening windows with curtains. It opens from the front in 2 sections. The chimney can be removed or placed in a fashion of your liking. The rooms have their original wallpaper, paint and furniture, with just the kitchen sink missing. This item has been well loved throughout the years and there are obvious signs of wear but can make someone an heirloom one of a kind dollhouse. Informational pages will be sent with the house.
