Parlour Fireside WingChair and Ottoman - Walnut

A French Louis XV style Parlour chair circa 1710. the Chair features a wing back, adorned in its top with a carved floral crest. The carved wings, dedicated to providing some privacy and comfort to the sitter, curve down to the carved arms that scroll on the knuckles. The arm rests have a curved serpentine shaped support. The chair has a broad seat with a loose cushion. The four legs area cabriole shape with whorl feet and the front of the chair frame is carved with a central motif to match the back frame.

The matching French Louis XV style Ottoman circa 1710.The Four seat rails are serpentine shaped, finger molded and have central medallions of flowers in medium relief. It is supported by finger molded cabriole legs with carved flowers at the knees terminating in whorl feet. The ottoman is upholstered in a fine white patterned fabric that is finished with a small piped edging. The loose cushion is a box design upholstered in the same fabric and decorated by a fine piping edge.

The chair measures 3 1/2 inches high x 2 I/2 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches deep. The ottoman measures 2 1/2 inches high x 2 1/4 inches wide x 2 inches deep.
