Miniature 1860 Hand Carved Timber Victorian Half Tester Bed

The tester bed has intricate hand carved detail on the headboard, foot board and half tester canopy. The back of the bed is finely carved and moulded with a central rectangular panel flanked by turned and carved bed posts that support the carved canopy brackets. The canopy frame is decorated with a high relief pierced carving and the finials on either side of the canopy have been duplicated on the foot board. The bed is raised to the correct height by bun feet on the headboard and foot board. The underside of the canopy is upholstered in a hand tufted white cotton fabric. The bed measures 6 3/4 inches long x 4 1/4 inches wide z 8 1/2 inches high and has a mahogany finish.
